Welcome to Farfar Studio, where I create wall sculptures shaped by a fascination with movement. My current collection, Formations, draws from terrestrial and planetary processes. A collection in development, Sequences, moves towards abstract forms, conceived as moments within a continuous movement. Each piece captures a sense of motion within a static object.

Each work finds its own material and finish, moving freely between clay, ceramic and quartz sand 3D printing, with surfaces ranging from raw to glazed or painted.

I started my own small animation and motion graphics studio while still at art school. I later worked as a freelance art director, creating concepts, designs and motion graphics for TV, digital, print and advertising projects. I also served as Partner and Creative Director at Achtung, a renowned creative agency, before turning my focus to autonomous work.

Alongside my sculptural work, I continue to create prints, write movie concepts and explore different forms of storytelling. In 2021, I published a book which sold out.

I studied at various art schools, including the Utrecht School of Arts, where I graduated in Moving Image, Design and Animation Film.
