Lyot.

Lyot is a sculptural light object derived from the active dune mechanics of Lyot Crater on Mars. Its form is based on barchan dune structures, shaped by persistent winds under a thin atmosphere. Embedded light traces the relief of the form, recalling the low-angle sunlight that defines the Martian surface through shadow and contrast.

Lyot.

Lyot is a sculptural light object printed in quartz sand with a diameter of 55 cm. The form originates from a hand-shaped clay model, digitally captured and translated through additive manufacturing. An adjustable warm LED light is integrated into the outer rim, articulating the surface through soft illumination and deep shadow. The object can be produced in both standard and custom colour finishes to harmonize with its architectural context.
